Golf Course
Innovative design and a reverence for nature are the hallmarks of truly great golf courses, and TPC Southwind’s outstanding championship layout is no exception.
TPC Southwind’s par-70, 7,244-yard championship layout was designed by noted golf course architect Ron Prichard, with PGA TOUR players Hubert Green and Fuzzy Zoeller serving as consultants. Prichard incorporated the subtle nuances of the existing topography into the course design, creating a picturesque natural layout highlighted by corridors of undulating zoysia fairways, champion Bermuda greens and numerous lakes, streams and ponds. Adding to the charm of the course are two grain silos and a windmill, remnants of the dairy farm once located on the site.
While challenging for the best players in the world during the St. Jude Classic (having been ranked among the top 10 toughest courses on the PGA TOUR in 2007) five sets of tees on each hole enable golfers of all abilities to enjoy this hidden golf gem.
